New Direction Childcare Facility offers an Alabama First Class Pre-K that currently seats 14 children. Children must be 4 years old on or before September 1 and a resident of Alabama. Children who are eligible for kindergarten are not eligible for pre-k. Online registration for the upcoming school year begins January 15th. For assistance accessing the online application, you may contact the daycare for assistance. A copy of the child's birth certificate & proof of residence of Alabama, must be provided. It may be uploaded into the online pre-registration site or submitted directly to the local First Class Pre-K Program. Upon enrollment, a child's immunization record must be provided to the program. No child will be denied participation on basis of income, sex, race, color, national origin or disability. Pre-registration Dates: January 15 - March 14th, 2025. To pre-register, go online to https://prek.alaceed.alabama.gov. Random Selection Drawing will be March 28, 2025 at 12 pm at New Direction Childcare Facility.
