What is Alabama Quality STARS? Alabama Quality STARS is a quality rating and improvement system (QRIS) that awards STAR ratings to early childhood care and education programs based on high-quality standards and teacher-child interactions. Being STAR-rated is not like common star ratings on Google or Amazon. Programs that have an advanced STAR rating, ranging from 2-STAR to 5-STAR, are going beyond state Licensing Performance Standards to provide higher quality early learning environments for children.

New Direction Childcare Facility is now a STAR 3 provider. We have built upon foundational quality and continue to strengthen and advance it with more focus on quality teacher-child interactions. Our teachers have worked hard and spent countless hours in bettering themselves in order to provide quality care and an early start to a lasting education for the children in our care.
